Kings Norton beach has proven to be an excellent local event for the community by Northfield Community Partnership, being their first time running this on Kings Norton Green.

Last week I helped to collect and move bales of hay for the story tent (HENCE THE PUN although there is probably a better beach one in there somewhere). I also helped with preparing the welcome packs for the guests, and buying healthy fruit for the day which is available for free to all the children attending.

I had a lovely chat with a volunteer who has been helping run the event in Northfield for the last decade and takes annual leave to do so. It is clear to see that the volunteers really make a difference to the event so I'm pleased I was able to help a small bit.
