A mission after work gave me an opportunity to take a 2km walk through Acton to Mr A's house, who is GoodGym Ealing's new regular for shopping tasks. I met that lovely gentleman and his friend, Mr K, who came to keep Mr A company and cook for him.

Mr A told me the story about how his knee had been broken and misdiagnosed, which might have had dire consequences. Although he's been on the mend now, a serious injury made him housebound for the time of the recovery - a challenging situation for someone who had been used to being out.

I went to Morrisons to get Mr A's groceries and found everything apart from Highland Spring was still spring water. I was not going to settle for the sparkling version or for Buxton or Evian, so I tried two corner shops. The second had exactly what Mr A needed.

On the way back, I was recognised by a former GoodGymer from another area who was thinking about reconnecting with GoodGym. I've invited him to keep an eye on Acton sessions in Ealing if he ever looks for something to do after work nearby.
