I helped out at the Crisis at Christmas project this year. The project supports people experiencing homelessness this winter by providing shelter and support over the Christmas and new year period. Each guest is assigned a caseworker to help them find more permanent accommodation.

From 8:00-3:45 my role as a General Hotel Assistant consisted of various tasks including serving lunches, welfare checks running the tea and coffee bar, cleaning and tidying and helping guests. It was a varied shift and helped the team to deliver a pleasant and productive day at the centre.
