SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
6 Goodgymmers assembled in Holyport at the People to Places car park, right next to our other good friends, The Baby Bank. Dave our task owner let us know we'd be washing the outsides of 4 minibuses with brushes, sponges and a hose, which we later found out was a "lethal weapon" when it came to soaking fellow Goodgymmers.
We knew we only had an hour so set to work with the aim of taking only 15 minutes on each minibus. We do like a challenge at Goodgym!
During the session Dave told us lots of good information about the charity since this was our first mission helping them and they do lots of amazing work in the community so it was great to be able to support them and I am sure we will continue to do so.
We naturally settled into a system with each of us taking responsibility for different areas to wash, with a bit of rotation each time we switched to a new bus, and we swiftly learned that both Sara and Rachel are very trigger happy when it came to being on hose duty! Some of us came away very soggy (with Sara and Rachel wondering why they were so dry!) but it was a sign that we'd done a good job and Dave was really happy with what we managed to achieve. There was lots of fun and laughter as always.
Well done everyone!
