Today the 3 of us (plus task owner Emma) collected food to fill the community fridge in Exeter Library.

A wonderful amount was donated by local supermarkets, 20kg of veg, fruit and bakery goods that will find good homes by the end of day!

We'll be doing this task every Saturday morning, doing our part to reduce food waste in the city! Check out our web page to sign up!

Exeter Community Fridge
We rescue surplus food from supermarkets across the city and give it away to all via a publicly accessible fridge in Exeter Library in order to reduce food waste.

As above. We need volunteers to pick up surplus food from designated businesses and drop it off at the Community Fridge. Quantities of food can vary but we will aim to match individual volunteers to particular pick-ups. Pick-ups are usually in the morning and the fridge is open during library opening hours. We are primarily a sustainability initiative.
