Rain had been forecast for Wednesday evening, but that didn’t stop four intrepid GoodGymers from venturing out into the night. Dave, Paul and Julie were so keen to do good that they even made it before task owner Peter, and then swiftly undid this good by thinking up ways to fake a good deed if he didn’t show up.

Thankfully, no forgery was needed as Peter arrived with scissors, secateurs, and instructions to trim the unwieldy New Zealand Flax which was planted outside the library. We learned plenty of facts about flax and its uses as we got on with our task, both from Peter and resident genius Dave.

Jessie arrived for her second ever GoodGym session and immediately got stuck in clearing away the flax cuttings, while Paul proved his BadGym credentials by breaking the secateurs.

After disposing of the cuttings, we headed off into the thankfully dry night - to the pub obviously, for we are BadGym!
