The day was to start with a short ride to pick up Mr J's shopping list, and a now familiar trip around Asda.

However, in what is becoming an all too regular occurrence, I first had to locate and repair a puncture...or two! Three attempts, two thorns and a piece of glass later, my tyre seemed to be willing to stay inflated.

Mr J had his list and money ready, and the shopping was completed without incident. Our weekly chat concluded with Mr J showing me his latest model...The German battleship, Bismarck. Such attention to detail...he had just coiled thread around the tiniest plastic barrels, having to use a magnifying glass and tweezers to do so...amazing.

I left Mr J to his modelling and set off, on what was definitely another slow puncture...perhaps I need to get out the magnifying glass and tweezers myself!
