When I left school, I went to work in a big company in High Holborn, who in a paternal manner arranged bank accounts for the school leavers it took on at the Midland Bank opposite Holborn station. The big company's building is now a hotel, and the site of the bank now a branch of Sainsbury's. This proved useful for GoodGym who could shop there for the isolating Mr A, though not such good news for him when he wants to cash a cheque.
