Getting stuff done in the mud and the sun

Bristol Report written by Chris Bennett

Loads of goodgymers got loads done at Bramble Farm, and brought the sunshine with them. We chopped, lopped, snipped, slipped, slid, bopped, bashed and more. It was great to get so much done piglet proofing one pig pen, and taking down the fence and clearing brambles in the other pen. Epic! Great to see a load of Goodgym Bristol legends as well as some people for their first time.

Sarah-Jane Dorme earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.

Sarah Jane completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Sarah Jane was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Taking good deeds to new heights!

Bristol Report written by Sara

Today's brief felt like a secret mission into the Pyrenees: mulch around some guerilla planted fruit trees on the impossibly steep slopes just outside Royate Hill allotments! A true team effort was required to shovel wood chip into crates, transport the crates to the foot of the hill, and then ascend to the lofty heights where the baby fruit trees basked in the sunshine. Luckily, we had a new GG member to help us (welcome, Sarah!!) and nobody discovered that they had vertigo. Meanwhile, on the ground, team Shears & Rakes cut back the encroaching plant life from a public foot path (you're welcome, Bristol City Council). We were rewarded with lovely thank you's from the allotment crew, including some juicy apples from the orchard. Bring on the next mission!
