Thankfully the weather was a bit warmer than the icy temperatures of Saturday. With only rain to contend with, we were dressed suitably in our waterproofs to stand out in the elements to cheer on the participants of the Dorothy House Santa run.
Around 100 people wearing Santa suits jogged, walked, skipped and were pushed past our marshal point around the 2.5 km loop course.
We had the steep hill section so most people were holding onto their baggy trousers in a desperate attempt to keep them up!
Thankfully the costumes held it together whilst out on the course but we're not aware of how many made it to the finish line! Felt and water are not a good mix!
A great morning had by all

500 Christmas gifts were hand delivered by generous supporters of the Nest charity.
Each gift was a selection of pressies for a boy or girl of a certain age.
Our mission was to sort the present bags into the right categories ready to be sent out to families in need over Christmas.
With 3 of us at work, the task was completed quickly and we had plenty of time to stop for tea and chat to the various wonderful donators who came to the door.

On a night of ghosts and ghoulies, 3 intrepid spirits ventured into the darkness of the Skyline loop for a terrorific, tricksy treat of a torchlit trail run.
👻👻👻
Not put off by werewolf threat, vampire peril, a bit of rain, nor forgotten running kit we slipped and slid into the night to continue this Halloween tradition started by GoodGym Bath a year ago almost to the day.
Watch out for more trail runs in the coming weeks… 😱

Richard completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Richard has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Time for another session of redesigning at Alice Park community garden.
Couple of tasks today. First up, to level off a 5x1 metre patch of ground where a cold frame is going to go.
If you don’t know what a cold frame is… that’s why we go along to gardening tasks, to learn stuff like this 🤣
The area needs to be level, at least within itself. It wasn’t far off to begin with, so mostly just needed a little scalping here and there and a bit of soil redistribution.
A local robin was flitting around and paying big interest in our levelling. We worked out why after digging up a worm - Mrs robin was straight on it! Circle of GoodGym life!!
After a tea break we set out measuring a line where a semi-circular path is going to go. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that we already spent a few sessions working on a similar path - and the idea is to mirror that one, so as to make a pleasing symmetrical space for passing photo-drones and other garden users.
Watch this space for more on that, I’m sure…
