It was the perfect weather for a summer litter pick!! Karen, Marjo, Mark, Maurice, Rachel and Nicola collected a whopping 12 bags of rubbish from the streets around the Tesco/Dunelm area.
It's always rewarding to get a good haul of rubbish but it would be nice if the streets didn't need it!
The hi-light of the evening was definitely the drinks and snacks afterwards in Hops Bar. It's always lovely to catch up with friends.
See you at the next one! Nicola xx

It was a lovely evening spent with the loveliest people on a task that was really rewarding.
Before we started the task, Karen, Rachel, Nigel, Maurice & Nicola set off for a walk which took us through some lovely woodland where we met some very friendly dogs, saw the odd squirrel and chatted all things Easter (mainly chocolate eggs!) . We walked 2.5 miles in total and that was before we set to work with our very physical task!
Tonight, the aim was to clear 2 overgrown footpaths near to the bus stop in Haslington It has been left to get overgrown for some years - to the point of not even realising there was even a pavement there!
We all set about the task with shovels, hoes, cutters and brushes and soon had the path cleared. It was definitely one of our more physical tasks but also one of our more rewarding ones too. The transformation was quite remarkable!
Well done everyone. A super successful task! You're all amazing Hope the backs aren't aching too much today!
Lots of love Nicola xxx

Tonight we were back supporting the wonderful charity Motherwell.
Karen, Rachel, Maurice and Nicola started the evening with a walk down through the beautiful Joey the Swan. As usual, we put the world to rights as we ambled (well, possibly a bit faster than an amble!) our way through the footpaths on a lovely evening. The weather had a definite feel of spring to it which was so nice.
Back at Motherwell, we set to work filling up goodie bags for their International Women’s Day celebrations. It was a bit of a challenge to get a good system in place initially, but once we did, we got into the swing of it and soon had the bags filled.
The evening wasn’t without fun and laughter and it was wonderful to catch up with good friends as always
Well done everyone, you’re all amazing ❤
Have a great week. Lots of love NIcola xxx
