I walked the hour and a half to Vauxhall Community Garden on 1 July to help the amazing volunteers there with sorting the food deliveries that came in that morning, preparing to be distributing to local people in need this Friday.
I was impressed with the quality of food to be given out, with top quality ready meals, and plenty of fresh veg.
Mission accomplished - shelves sorted, supplies organised, and another small but meaningful contribution to the local community.

Laura Archer earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Laura completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Laura was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Two GoodGymers joined forces with Beautify Balham for a litter-picking mission around Sainsbury’s and the surrounding streets.
After donning our hi-vis vests and grabbing our litter pickers, we set to work. An hour later, and after collecting countless cigarette butts and other discarded rubbish, we had filled several bags and made a visible difference to the local area.
This task was one of many taking place across the UK as part of The Great Big Green Week, organised by The Climate Coalition. We were also joined by a representative from the organisation, who shared more about the campaign and its aims to inspire positive environmental action.
A special welcome to Laura, who completed their very first GoodGym mission today! Thank you so much for all your hard work—we hope to see you at many more missions in the future
