Nine GoodGymers met up at HEART in Headingley for today's task, deep cleaning the Tiny Boo nursery and other community spaces. The nursery looked like it had been ransacked by a herd of sticky fingered toddlers (which is an accurate description of its purpose). We set to it, spraying and wiping, vacuuming and mopping, tidying and lining up the cars in rows 🚗🚙🚕. Everyone played to their strengths and Christian's passion appears to be clearing cobwebs from ceilings (he can visit my home anyday). A big welcome to Dilraj on her first attendence and well done to Sana on her first run with us. Once the areas were spick and span and we left our customary signature message on the chalkboard, we set off on a 4km chatty run around quiet roads and parks in Headingley. Well done everyone!

What a group of dedicated GoodGymers we have here in Leeds! 8 of us headed to Heart today and as soon as we got there the torrential rain started. We all ran up to OWLS allotments to do some weeding, but the rain came down faster and faster as we worked. We managed to clear some of the path and the raised beds of weeds but after around 45 minutes, we decided to head back and have an early finish. We were all soaked to the skin but even so, Jason was a good sport and stood under the rainy roof to get a video of just how wet it was.
Well done team, I couldn't think of a nicer group of people to spend a wet Wednesday with!
Congratulations to Katie, she reached a whooping 70 good deeds last week (sorry, i'm a week late) & Rachael who did her 50th tonight. Thanks for all of your hard work guys :)

Tonight 10 GoodGymers ran up to Bedford Fields Community Garden to do a variety of tasks. Between us we emptied the van, tidied up the borders, cleared a path, weeded and litter picked the area! It was a whirlwind but we got a lot done in an hour and 10 minutes. We did however almost lose two members when Bryony & Shannen diligently litter picked on the paths above the garden...a moment of panic when we thought they'd got lost. Luckily they came back with 2 full bags of litter.
Well done everyone!
A big GoodGym welcome to Sana tonight on her first session and welcome back to Kerry, Lana & Irene.

Eight GoodGymers headed to Bedford Fields tonight to meet up with Beth and tackle today's task. She quickly set us up with assorted implements (including a bread knife) to clear the overgrown Comfrey edging the paths. We also tackled the bindweed that has been strangling the fruit trees and bushes and thinned out the mint. The air became minty fresh and we all started to think about our dinners...Finally, Beth told us about the living piano that is to be installed in the garden....a future project, perhaps for GoodGym! Tonight the runners clocked up 5km to help Chloe reach her 100km in 3 weeks target.
