Brighton Report written by Mariangela Vitolo (She/her)
I had a great time volunteering at the GoodGym beach clean-up on the Sunday of Brighton Pride!
On a sunny Sunday morning, numerous volunteers gathered at the Kings Road Arches to collect the rubbish left behind after the previous day's Pride celebrations, along with what appeared to be the remains of several beach barbecues.
We filled plenty of bags with plastic items, bottle lids, broken glass and even a tent peg. However, the prize for the most unexpected find has to go to a pair of sunglasses!
Afterwards, many of us headed to Pride in the Park to enjoy performances from Paris Hilton, Mel C and the wonderful Diana Ross, safe in the knowledge that we'd done our bit to help keep Brighton's beautiful beach cleaner and ready for everyone to enjoy.

We managed to save 30+ sandwiches, 3 baguettes, 30+ pastries, plus other treats to turn Good quality unsold food in a feast for the ChoirWithNoName Brighton, celebrating their 7th birthday with a flash mob gig in the Open Market, Brighton Station and Band Stand.
It was a great fun baking homemade muffins alltogether while rehearsing the songs that Amanda and Stefania also performed with the choir on the day, including:
*Times Like These - Foo Fighters:
It's times like these you learn to live again It's times like these you give and give again It's times like these you learn to love again It's times like these, time and time again*
Happy birthday ChoirWithNoName!
The choir is invititing us to their next open rehersal on Monday 8th October - Are you coming?
