The amazing Tazmin lead her first Taskforce session this week!
Tazmin has been a consistent GoodGymer all year and very kindly offered to step up while I'm away.
This session was some good old fashioned litter picking, down to the top of town, where way too much time was collecting the blue tags from Boz's veggie stall before heading towards Glebe Gardens.
Was great having Evelyn there assisting again, along with the always entertaining Maddie.
I missed you all this week, and wish you the best for next week then cant wait to see you all again the following week at Brookvale Community Centre.

In a miraculous turn we had exceptional weather for last nights litter litter picking!
Evelyn & I managed to fill 3 bags worth of litter while going through Cross Street and then towards Glebe Gardens.
We definitely found some plentiful areas for litter which we will be going back to.
Next week we are doing a walk and talk with a walk up to 7.5km through Basingstoke.

In a bit of a wet and wild evening we went out for a litter pick to make sure that the paths the free Lets Glow! exhibition were safe.
It was lovely having Evelyn & Tazmin join from the Sports & Social Club and then Samantha meet us halfway along!
They also kindly introduced me to the Wote Street willy which I somehow waled past for 18 months without noticing..
All in all it was a great evening (if wet) and the Lets Glow! is going to be amazing, I hope everyone gets to enjoy it.

Okay warm might have been a stretch.. But it definitely wasn't as cold as previous weeks have been!
It was a really fun evening picking up a lot of litter and chatting the whole time. We found some pretty weird stuff such as, a torn up football in 15 different parts, a single glove, half a bottle of vodka and I got taught once again about different English sweets.
It was lovely meeting Madeline for the first time and thank you to Charli & Samantha meeting us partway through the session!
I think it was Tazmin's 4th session in a row while Evelyn showed off her fancy new litter picker!

Due to an unfortunate family emergency we were not able to assist at the Helping Dogs & Cats Charity shop.
However we were able to do a last minute litter pick! We managed to avoid the rain for the 30 minutes and found some really good spots of to clear. We managed to make a three course meal throughout the session, with plenty of fruit, chips & peanut butter for dessert.
Was a lot of fun watching Aaron running around in his shirt and shorts. Was also lovely to meet Charli & Samantha at their first sessions.
Thank you to Sammi, Tazmin & Evelyn for attending more sessions even with the late change.
In all we filled 3 big bags of rubbish and made a definite impact in tidying Basingstoke

Three of us went out on a wet Wednesday evening for a good old fashioned litter pick.
While it was difficult in the dark we still managed to fill 3 big bags worth of litter and were once again impressed with how clean Basingstoke is kept.
It was amazing meeting Tazmin and great having Evelyn there for her third session in a row.
We managed to get everything on the bingo card except ketchup packets!
Thank you for coming out and I can't wait till next week where we will spend more time indoors!
p.s Too wet to get any pictures of us, so just our bags of litter
