We tided last night, all the way along Leeds Road, clearing litter from the newly planted central reservation and wildflower areas. It definitely look tip-top by the time we had finished.
Then to mark the departure of longstanding and much valued Huddersfield GoodGymmer David Bilton, we enjoyed a post-task tapas at Maison la Pepa in the town centre. Thanks to David, Kati Law, Ben Godfrey and Louise Galvin for your efforts last night and best wishes to David for life in Northumberland.

Tonight's Community Mission required unbridled enthusiasm and energy. Working with Kirklees Bridleways Group we cut back and cleared a stretch of bridleway of overgrown vegetation which was impeding the use of the route by local walkers, runners, cyclists and equestrians.
Well done to Wendy Redmile who as part of hr daily hat challenge sported a horse riding hat for the task.

Kati Law, David Bilton and I were certainly not amused by the volume of fly tipping to be removed (once again) from the Rawthorpe Estate. However the horrible task was made slightly more bearable by the sounds of the Muse gig emanating from the John Smiths Stadium next door.
