Newtown Community Association's second Wildflower Garden for the Bees
To clear part of the wasteland where Clifton Rd and Clifton St. meet, to create a wildflower garden for the bees.
The Project is to create a bee and butterfly friendly sanctuary ,where pollenating insects and other wild life can find a safe haven where bee friendly wildflowers are grown. An area that will give pleasure and some exercise to the residents of Newtown.2 GoodGymers have supported Newtown Community Association's second Wildflower Garden for the Bees with 1 task.

There's no better way to spend a Sunday than a couple of hours of hard graft!
The mission today for us was to remove a large patch of grass, preparing a community area for Wildflower planting. Despite the cold and a bit of rain we absolutely smashed the task, it was proper muddy gardening but a great way to keep fit and blow the cobwebs off.
We were joined by Judith and Margaret from the community project, and between the 4 of us we made a huge start in the rejuvenation of the area. Just check out the before and after pictures!
