Mini eggs for volunteers this morning at Coldham's Common parkrun 🐣
Feeling motivated, I headed over to my favourite part of the common and excellent marshaling spot 'the trees'. Perfect not only for cheering on parkrunners and walkers, but also ideal for bird and plane spotting. Next to Cambridge airport, there were lots of light aircraft taking off and in amongst the sounds of the planes and my cheering was the distinct tapping of a woodpecker. All very exciting.
Over the other side of town, Harriet was Run Director at Fulbourn Hospital parkrun, ensuring all went smoothly. Nice one 🙌
Well done to all runners and walkers that took part this morning. Enjoy the long weekend ☀️

Spring had sprung at Fulbourn Hospital parkrun this morning, with the daffodils out and the sun shining 🌷
Caroline was marshaling and cheered 140 runners and walkers round the course, including Catherine, who then helped with post-event pack down.
Over the other side of the world, Harriet was adding another flag to her collection running parkrun in Japan! 🇯🇵

Cambridge Goodgymers put on their running shoes to volunteer and run or walk at Fulbourn Hospital Parkrun today. It was a very muddy morning but it was great to get out there and help make the parkrun happen.
Catherine did an amazing job marshalling, encouraging the runners and directing them safely on a slightly altered, slippery course. Caroline sprinted round and still had enough energy left to sort the tokens, ready for next week's event. Alexandra made sure no one was left behind, doing a fantastic job tailwalking. Harriet had a lovely parkwalk and then helped out with the post-event closedown. We relaxed after all this lovely activity with hot drinks and cakes in the cafe.

GoodGymers were running around courses and earthworks at parkruns this week.
Welcome to Josie who joined for her first GoodGym task. She ran and then helped sort tokens at Coldham's parkrun, fuelled by brownies that had been baked for the volunteers! The run was muddy (although no where near as bad as Milton has been recently) but luckily the rain held off until the end.
Harriet was volunteer coordinator at Fulbourn Hospital parkrun and had an eventful start to the morning having to create course diversions around building works that had sprung up. With a solid team effort the amended course was signed off and all went smoothly.
Caroline and Catherine were off representing GoodGym and running parkruns in Europe. Catherine getting a 'Z' for her parkrun alphabet in The Netherlands, and Caroline braving the -8 conditions and running in the snow in Oslo! ❄️

We were back at Fulbourn Hospital parkrun this weekend for the second time this month! Caroline & Harriet arrived bright and early to help with set-up, and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise for their early morning alarms 🌄
They got to work filling in all the rabbit holes with upturned cones, marking the route and putting out signs to guide the runners and walkers. Having only been there once before as a marshal, this all helped jog Caroline's memory of the course in anticipation of the run ahead 🏃♀️
The pair ran together with a priority of making it a social activity, chatting non-stop throughout and cheering on familiar faces along the way. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Caroline's 25th parkrun (the milestone t-shirt has been ordered!) and for Harriet to warm up ready for her 100th parkrun next time around 💪
After helping with close-down too, they joined others in the cafe for a bit of coffee and cake to warm up. What a wonderful way to spend a morning! 🥰

Another cold one this morning at Fulbourn Hospital parkrun, but people weren't deterred and there were an amazing 173 finishers 🙌
It was an early one for Harriet, who was run director for the first time and out course checking at 7:30! She did a brilliant job delivering a clear briefing and making sure all was running smoothly. Well done 🎉
I was timing and couldn't feel my fingers by the end, which didn't help for token sorting afterwards.
As always, we finished the morning by heading to the cafe to warm up.
