In the thick of it

Saturday 7th June

At Coldham's we pace! The first weekend of the month is pacer week at Coldham's Common parkrun, which means we can get our run in while volunteering 💪 We love all parkrun volunteering roles, but there's nothing quite like being caught up in the energy of the crowd. The best part this week was speaking to park runners who had never run with a pacer before and found it really helpful. And there's nothing we love more at GoodGym than helping people reach their goals 🙌

Coldham's Cheer Squad

Saturday 3rd May

We were back marshalling at Coldham's Common parkrun this morning, and what a morning for it. ☀️

Coupled with a spot of litter picking, thanks to Nick always being on the look out, it was definitely time well spent. There is always a great atmosphere and we enjoyed cheering lots for all the amazing runners and walkers. 📣

Pace yourselves

Saturday 1st February

Written by Catherine

1 GoodGymer, 2 volunteering tasks and a whole lot of mud.

After running the course as a pacer, which was harder work than anticipated with a bit of slipping and sliding, I set to sorting finish tokens. A satisfying job in itself made all the better discussing with the group the benefits of staying around a little after crossing the finish line to meet new people, and getting the glow of knowing you've helped give back by volunteering. And that's what it's about.

All made for a great first time supporting the lovely team at Coldham’s Common. Thanks to Andrew for the warm welcome and we'll be back again soon.
