Andy and Bobby are the lockdown letterbox logistics lads! We remain undefeated in our objective to get these postcards through letterboxes. Goodgym delivers yet again!
Stephen and Elizabeth paired and tackled deliveries between Unthank Road and Earlham Road.
Liz and Kamilla also paired up deliver their load around the top end of Unthank Road.
GoodGym Norwich have teamed up with the Fine City Neighbours project and we have 20,000 postcards that need delivering to people's homes throughout January and February!
These tasks will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
You'll collect postcards from Hitch or a Task Force member outside The Forum anytime between 5.30-6.30pm, where you'll be allocated a street or number of streets from our list and then run/walk/cycle to that location to deliver postcards through people's letterboxes.
There should be no need to make contact with people in their homes, but if someone does open their door while you are making a delivery, remember to maintain a 2m distance while speaking with them.
This task should be done individually, with a member of your household or in pairs if you wish to work with someone outside your household, while keeping 2m apart as per government advice.
Bring a head torch and possibly other running light equipment if you have them. Also wear bright reflective clothing.
With the January Challenge well under way, the GoodGym Area Activators discussed ways we can engage members across all areas, on some bigger training sessions.
One of our ideas was a weekly GoodGym (not) parkrun, to be hosted by a different area each week, but open to GoodGymers from all areas each week.
I happily volunteered GoodGym Norwich to host the inaugural GoodGym (not) parkrun, with a rather large helping hand from Melanie Young at GG Bristol for organising the results.
I've inlcuded any photos that were sent to me. If you'd like your photo added to this report, please email email@example.com.

I now hand over the baton to GoodGym Stockport, who will ne hosting next week's GoodGym (not) parkrun.
GoodGym Norwich are hosting the first national GoodGym (not)parkrun, which will be hosted by a different GoodGym area each week during lockdown and get everyone involved in the January Challenge 2021.
You can complete your 5K any time on Saturday and submit your time here by midnight on Saturday.
A big shout out to Melanie Young @ GoodGym Bristol for creating the results form and who will put the results together. To let her know your email address and other useful information, there's a one-off registration form to complete.
My target is for at least 100 people from GoodGym across the UK to take part ;-)

It's been an extremely difficult Xmas for everyone this. No more so than for older people in Care Homes who have been unable to see their families for the last 9 months. It really is heartbreaking.
That's why we wanted to do something for some of the care homes/housing with care we've visited in the past, as we couldn't visit them in person this year to play games or sing carols. Instead, we sent the residents at Springdale a Xmas Card, some of which were made by our members.
It was great to see so many GoodGymers get involved with this task, some of who were from other GoodGym areas across the UK. Emma made a card for Vera, who is 107 year's old!
These tasks have brought a smile to everyone's face, Merry Christmas to all of you.
