Fine City Neighbours postcard delivery - Norwich Covid Response

GoodGym Norwich have teamed up with the Fine City Neighbours project and we have 20,000 postcards that need delivering to people's homes.
These tasks will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings and we are now focusing on the Central Norwich area.
You'll collect postcards from Hitch or a Task Force member outside The Forum anytime between 5.30-6pm, where you'll be allocated a street or number of streets from our list and then run/walk/cycle to that location to deliver postcards through people's letterboxes.
It shouldn't take no more than 1 hour from the time you set off to deliver the postcards allocated to you. Once you've delivered them you can go straight home, you don't need to return to The Forum.
There should be no need to make contact with people in their homes, but if someone does open their door while you are making a delivery, remember to maintain a 2m distance while speaking with them.
This task should be done within the rule of 6, while keeping 2m apart as per government advice. You'll be grouped upon arrival at The Forum.
We recommend you wear some form of high-vis clothing.

Excess Lockdown Poundage? This is one way to Budget!
We are getting good at this! Take a postcard. Put it through the letterbox. Repeat several hundred times! See some familiar faces if you're lucky! Neon Hearts are also a bonus!

Flamingo and do it!
It was decided to have the meeting point at The Forum to collect postcards socially distanced and to have a well known meeting point for any new members of which there were three! A warm welcome to Libby, Hannah and Katie for their first GoodGym session.
Stephen and Robert collected their postcards each and went off on their run, followed by Andy and Ralph and then Libby, Hannah and Katie who set off to their destination.
Unfortunately one runner was unable to make it, but whilst waiting incase of arrival, Steve was able to complete 500 metre laps around The Forum to make up 5k.
Andy's bike had a damaged wheel and had to be parked up before the delivery of cards. Upon return the area was closed due to a major police incident and the bike was in the exclusion zone. A fireman later came to the rescue and allowed Andy to collect the bike. Phew!
It was another great mission, delivering a few hundred postcards and getting to experience different parts of the city as well as different gate and letter box designs.
Pun credit goes to Andy, due to a lovely collection of light up Flamingos in somebodies garden.

Postman Pat
Tonight, 4 of us managed to deliver 700 postcards! Stephen and Fraser paired up to target parts of Earlham while Myself and Jonathan did St Stephen’s Road and a couple of roads off Earlham Road. Only 400 left to deliver in the Golden Triangle now.

An (Un)thankful task
Unthank Road was the task this evening for delivery of another few hundred postcards. Elizabeth, Fraser, Andy and Stephen were up to the task on a very cold night. Andy and I discovered a block of flats in Beechcroft which we liked the look off and it was nice to be in the warmth of an enclosed space if only for a short time.
