How GoodGym helped Sandy feel at home in Slough again
Today I helped people before they went inside for their appointments. I gave them a new surgical mask to wear and gave each person sanitiser, while helping to control the flow of people going into the centre so social distancing could be maintained. I also took down their details for track and trace purposes.
Later I changed roles and helped people after they had their injection by giving them information and letting them know what to do before they leave - as well as giving them their sticker to show they had their vaccination today!
I completed my first shift volunteering at the vaccination centre, where I met people before they went inside for their appointments. I gave them a new surgical mask to wear before they went in and gave each person sanitiser, while helping to control the flow of people going into the centre so social distancing could be maintained. The time flew by as I met so many people coming in for their appointments and I was really impressed by how well the service is!

This event is virtual so can be completed anywhere in your own time over the weekend.
There is also a medal and donation to Fareshare for 10 hot meals if you want to register to the event. (£12 sign up)
