Let's help the local community!
Age UK have asked or for 2 volunteers to assist the day centre as they start to welcome back members safely for daily activities at Yalding Healthy Living Centre 12-2pm.
The task will include;
- Helping members feel safe and welcome!
- Assist members entering using sign in sheets and temperature checks.
- Setting up the hall for socially distanced lunch.
- Assisting any meal preparation and serving lunch to members.
- Clearing up after lunch and re-arranging hall for the afternoon activities.
Please ensure you wear facemasks at all times.
You will report to Kat (Manager) and Kenny (Chef) on arrival.

2 goodgymers cycled/jogged to Borough joining the food cooperative to do the inventory count, restocking and most of all vegetables sorting.
We even did some shopping for customers.

A few goodgym people joined online yoga. Thanks for coming! Yoga talk
Backbends are invigorating and strengthening. They stretch the quads and hip flexors and help open up the shoulders and chest, an area where lots of us hold tension. ... By increasing mobility and awareness of the spine, backbends improve posture and can help to alleviate some kinds of back and neck pain. By releasing tension we get a relief from anxiety and stress that may build up over the day.

GG Online yoga with Paul Tuesday 7.55pm

Tuesday on line yoga session at 8pm Join from 7.55 You can log on a few minutes before for a chat or ask some questions 7.45 This is a simple beginners / intermediate online yoga session designed to both strengthen, stretch and relax the body. It will be an hour + long session, using some simple yoga poses both static and dynamic, and the focus will be on mindful breath and movement. Please wear loose clothes, you need a yoga mat (or similar) and may be a thin blanket for relaxation. Please let me know if you have any questions or if its your first time. I will email a link out on the day or on the Yoga whatsApp group. ( let me know if you what to go on the Whats App group.)

Food Packing at Borough Food Cooperative

The Borough Food Cooperative at St George the Martyr Church acts as a subsidized supermarket, and is providing essential supplies to local households who are unable attend the shop in person.
This Monday We need 2 volunteers to join the team between 11.00am-1.00pm.
On arrival volunteers will meet Adam, the Food Hub Coordinator. The task will include unloading and sorting deliveries from suppliers, and packing food for deliveries ready for the next day.
Please ensure everyone wears a mask in the distribution hub and follows strict social distancing procedures.

During the current lockdown, Team #GoodgymRedThunder will be hosting a weekly Adventure Film Watch Party- an opportunity to watch these great free-to-air documentaries together! During these uncertain times, sometimes we need a bit of inspiration to get us out the door and finding our own adventures!
"How Not to Run 55 miles"
BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Reece Parkinson is determined to run a one of the UK's toughest races, with only 37 days to train.
After multiple races get cancelled due to Covid-19, he sets his sights on a 55-mile ultra-marathon still due to go ahead. The Montane Cheviot Goat is a brutal non-stop race over the freezing, remote and mountainous landscapes of Northumberland, predominantly in the dark.
But Reece is dealt with blow after blow of setbacks, with doctors advising him against it and running coaches saying his lack of preparation is dangerous. His problems then take a more severe turn when he is hit with a very serious and life-changing medical diagnosis. Running seems to be the easiest part of his goal, but will he succeed?
