GG November long run - a Southwark circle

Sat 17 Nov 11:00 am
Waterloo station , Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, , London, SE1 8SW
Run + Eat

For November's long run, we'll start at Waterloo station, do a bit of tourist-dodging on the Thames, and then loop round Southwark and back into Lambeth, thorough Southwark Park, Burgess Park and Kennington Park.

Lunch to finish of course - sign up here so I have an idea of numbers and I'll source a suitable location.

I'll be running about 6-6.30/km, and I'm looking for someone to lead a slightly faster group as well.

NEW TASK helping Blackstock Triangle Gardeners

Mon 11 Jun 18:45 pm
The Arsenal Community Hub, 56 Benwell Road, London, N7 7BA
Making Islington Greener!

Starting location at Arsenal Hub at the Emirates Stadium - please sign up beforehand for security reasons

We meet every Monday at 18.45 - setting off at 19.00 to run down to our task to do some good and then we run back. There will be somewhere to store bags whilst we run.

This week we have a NEW TASK helping Blackstock Triangle Gardeners help prepare for Islington in Bloom by clearing their tree pits of weeds and rubbish, and other gardening jobs. (5km overall)

We are a fun and sociable group who do good and get fit together. We welcome all abilities but ask that you are able to run for at least 15 minutes, don't worry though we keep together as a group and no-one is ever left behind! Come along and join us!

By signing to this group run you have agreed for your name will be shared with the Arsenal Foundation for security reasons.

Gonna be a good one - I'm looking forward to it!

Prepping the fences at Richmond Green

Mon 11 Jun 18:45 pm
Whole Foods Richmond, 1-3 George Street , London , TW9 1AB
Helping to improve the look of the community green

No pressure but we are at the centre of Richmond this week. Richmond green where appearance matters! And we have been asked if we would help with the railings around the edge of the park. This is a great project for us in the community and a chance to use our super GG skills as we kick off stage one - Preparing the iron (I think it is iron) fence for the painting to follow. So we are wire brushing, sanding and emery clothing the posts and rail. Making sure we keep mess to a minimum. We need many hands and some great organisers (You know who you are!) to get this one moving. AND of course we are running even though it is just around the corner ;-) See you at wholefoods 6.45pm
