Sheffield Report written by Tom Mutton
It was great to meet @Harrison who has moved up from Brighton to the bright lights and big city of Sheffield along with his partner who may join us on a future run. You're both very welcome.
Tonight we headed back to a litter hot spot just up the road from The Riverside pub.
We met Karen, Malcolm and Anna who were all getting stuck straight in. We were welcome reinforcements and got tooled up with bags and pickers and got straight to it flanking each side of the road in a litter picking pincer like procedure.
It felt as though the area was not as bad as it has been in previous visits which was great to see, but there was still plenty to go at.
After a good session and piling up all the bags in one place, ready for reporting to and collection by the council we headed back on a different route to add some variety and give our new GGSHF runner a glimpse of some other parts of the city.
Until next time, happy running :)

We had a quick change of plans due to an emergency cancellation of our task at the Real Junk Food Project. Brighton Good Gym-ers practiced their hill running heading up to the Brighton Table Tennis Club.
We made quick work of washing up and cleaning the kitchen and reorganising cuboards.
Others folded and resorted the lost property pile so people could find their items more quickly. This included sorting out a large pile of lost glasses.
The task was done in record speed!
Thanks Theresa, BTTC Women coach, for hosting GoodGym today, and all as ever for the amazing job!
We followed this session with a social gathering at a Christmas Choir, where GoodGym-ers Rosie and Ben were the stars!
All STARS TT, actually :-) !

On a chill Tuesday evening the Brighton Good Gym team sallied forth.
Firstly a short exercise session led by Stefania. Warming up by running laps around Victoria Garden. Then lunges and high knees to keep the cold at bay. As a finisher we ran up the hill to Brighton Unemployed Centre Families Project (BUCFP).
We were welcomed into the warm at the friendly BUCFP staff were and told about all their amazing work supporting families on low incomes, providing low cost laundry, benefit advice and free vegan meals.
The task was wrapping presents for their free raffle at the Christmas Party. Christmas music on Rosie's phone got us into the seasonal spirit. The gang made short shift of the task and was not defeated by a toy donkey and gremlin. They were on a roll and even had time to move some tables and chairs.
We finished up with some photos. Then it was a wrap!
See WHAT's ON NEXT at GoodGym Brighton!

Brighton Report written by Philippa (She/her)
While several Brighton Goodgymers headed to Lewes via bike train, those of us who prefer to avoid the sensory overload of Bonfire Night came to Lavender House, armed with head torches for some intensive weeding!
With the night punctuated by the frequent bang and sparkle of fireworks, we ran up our favourite hill and were greeted by the task owner, who provided an array of garden tools for us to get to work with.
Sherman was an unstoppable force against the weeds, and several of the team even cleared the weeds outside the fence too. Meanwhile, Frances and Michael got to reprise their favourite pastime of pulling the ivy off the wall (so satisfying).
We soon turned the urban jungle into a clear area, into which residents will be installing raised beds to grow vegetables 🥕🥬🍅
Thanks everyone for a great effort tonight! 🙌
