Community Cape

Emily Ash earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.

Emily completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Emily was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Bristol's top picks

Bristol Report written by Bristol runner

6 GoodGym runners met on Saturday morning to pick litter and collect good deed on the May bank holiday weekend. We were kitted out with THE top master litter pickers and some seriously big rubbish bags (the green ones, as green is the obvious choice for rubbish bags of course?!) from Bristol Parks. To warm up to the admittedly physically not-so-challenging task, a few GoodGymers completed an impressively long run before turning up for the mission. A big shout out to Emily who breezed through a 10miler before collecting her first good deed. I, on the other hand, opted for some downhill cycling to warm up my fingers with some heavy breaking intervals to get the blood in my forearms flowing. During the task, we strolled along the grassy area (or is it a park?! when is a park a park?) by the pump trek and underneath the flyover. Many passersby cheered us on and thanked us for our efforts. Within the hour, we filled many bags of rubbish whilst chatting away and enjoying the lovely sunshine. Towards the end of our task, Nathalie was nowhere to be seen. We feared she might have gotten to close to the river but to our relief, she was still searching for the tinest bit of litter on the other side of the bridge that the rest of us had overlooked.

Great job everyone and massive thanks to the Vaguely Northern Darren for caring all the kit!
