This is a lovely 5k loop and a half of Brockwell Park with the option of grabbing a tea or coffee afterwards and a chat of course!
Meet at the start location (where the big group of runners is near the Lido) and lookout for the red GoodGym tees from 8:50am or so.
Afterwards we'll wait until every GoodGymmer has crossed the line (with plenty of cheering obvs) and then head to Herne Hill, maybe for a beverage (and pastry?!) from the Blackbird Bakery.
Don't forget your barcode Register here if you haven't done a parkrun before.
Whether you're chasing a PB or want to run-walk your way round, you are more than welcome :)
Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.
Brixton Windmill's gardens have been well used by the public over the past year as people have discovered it on their walks, so we're joining their monthly gardening session to help make it look nice for visitors!
There will probably be a mix of tasks from weeding to planting shrubs to pruning and there may be cleaning jobs to do in the Windmill too!
Please bring gardening gloves and a mask 🧤🤿
Some refreshments are provided! ☕️
Daryl completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Daryl was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
Daryl is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.
On Saturday afternoon we were back at the Windmill helping out with some gardening tasks. We had a great work out weeding around the playground, tiding up the footpath, moving a giant sleeper, chopping back a massive bush, picking up some litter and making the whole garden look fantastic. After and hour and a half we were all exhuasted but the garden looked great, so we rehydrated with a glass of homemade elferflower cordial.
