Frosty Friday Farm Fun
This morning was quite a frosty one but 6 goodgym runners braved the cold and run over to Windmill Hill City Farm for another morning burst of fun. Our task was simple (clearing weeds, brushing, raking leaves) but it really required some some skills getting the job done on the icy pavement. Not to mention the numb fingers and cold toes...
Kudos to Jade, Bekki and Daisy who attended this early morning task at the farm not once, but twice this week! It was also amazing to welcome Eve back at GoodGym after a long (winter?)break.
Great job everyone and apologies for not having taken any pics (Mel will hopefully add some later)!

Morning task at Windmill Hill City Farm - Friday 22nd

Are you finding it hard to motivate yourself in the morning? Come and join us for an end of the week morning dose of goodness at Windmill Hill City Farm.
Early morning, fresh air, walking/running/cycling (or however else you travel), volunteering, animals (and people, if you like them - socially distanced of course) - what a great way to start your day!
Tasks may include, but are not limited to, weeding, sweeping, petting goats (optional), loading and manoeuvring wheelbarrows (bring your own gardening gloves if you have them, they are very useful to have for this task and any other tasks)
Hope to see you there :)

Daisy is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Daisy completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Daisy was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Perse-Weed-ance at last!
Today we finished with our seemingly weeks-long endeavor of weeding the front entrance at Windmill Hill City Farm. Previous groups had made great head wind so that we only had one last corner to tackle. A true team effort and perseverance (or may be better to speak of perseweedance) at last!
This was Daisy first task with GoodGym and I think she deserves an extra good deed for checking up on the goats too.
Great work everyone!
