The usual Lewisham duo of Paul and Adi were again busy picking litter in the Borough's parks. Adi had several sessions in Sydenham's Mayow Park where apart from some post World Cup Semi Final mess, the main litterers were squirrels and foxes.

Paul was surprised that somewhere in the Ravensbourne catchment there had been heavy rain as in Deptford's Brookmill Park's riverside path was sodden had lots of soggy litter brought downstream during the week.

it was the usual duo of Adi and Paul litterpicking in Lewisham. Adi was out early in Sydenham's Mayow Park - yet again miscreant creatures had been ripping open bin bags left for collections.

Further north in Deptford, Paul picked up the remains from what seemed to have been a party by the Ravensbourne.

When Paul was sorting out his bag and litter picker he was asked ‘Are you a friend of Fred?’ Initially he was worried that it was a case of mistaken identity of a foreign agent but it became clear that Fred runs the Friends of Brookmill Park in Deptford rather than a spy network. The questioner thanked Paul for his litterpicking along the Ravensbourne, was impressed by the variety of activities that GoodGym is involved in and promised to pass his regards to Fred.

Meanwhile Adi enjoyed a beautiful cool morning in Sydenham’s Mayow Park - the culprit on much of the litter was beautifully caught in the act! But as always, the park was left pristine.

Three Lewisham GGers braved the heat litter picked different parts of the borough. Linda was in Lower Sydenham and collected a staggering number of plastic water bottles which she recycled.

Adi was just up the road in Sydenham's Mayow Park getting some of the tailend of the night's rain whilst picking up litter from humans but made messier by squirrels.

Paul was in Deptford's Brookmill Park picking up litter and pulling out Himalayan balsam alongside the Ravensbourne. It was a bumper week for the former with lots of litter brought down by high flows on the river.
