Mission

Yikes! Spikes!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Arriving at Mr B's we encountered some rather steep steps down to his garden flat, then finding out that he wanted us to tidy his front garden which was basically the slope alongside the steps.

Resisting the urge to build a den in the mass of branches and thorns hidden within the covering foliage, Fi got to work with her secateurs on the overhanging bushes on the steps and the roadside, while I delved into the jungle with some shears.

In a little over 90 minutes we had managed to fill 6 bags of waste with the odd expletive harnessed whenever we were attacked by the spiky stuff.

Mr B (and his neighbour) seemed thrilled by our efforts. A nice job on a lovely afternoon.
