Tower Hamlets

Mission

Yet another sight for 'saw' eyes.

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Tower Hamlets.

A cold and windy Saturday morning saw Elena and I meeting in a Bethnal Green estate for the second or third phase in helping Mrs L with her garden. Upon arriving at the flat, which was quite modest in size, we were somewhat overwhelmed by the enormous garden, big enough to hold a 5-a-side football match!

We were set to work on breaking two large piles of tree branches, recently chopped off a tree in the garden. A simple-sounding job but the size of the boughs and the slightly sorry hacksaw meant that over an hour of hacking didn't finish it all. One more trip should do the job, ideally with a chainsaw! Irrespective, Mrs L was very happy and gratefully sent us on our way to our next Missions that day.
