A big-ish stock of meat had arrived at the FoodBank today. While there was enough of it, the 'Best Before' date wasn't too many days into the future. This means either they get picked by customers or are frozen for a second attempt and then thrown away. Out of date and subsequent wastage is a big challenge at FoodShare. Understandably.

So I thought I'd use my powers of persuasion to get customers to choose these packs first. I positioned myself by the fridges and had a good go at peddling my wares (not really mine but hey ho). There was Chicken and Leek in White Wine Sauce, Lemon & Garlic Chicken and the crowd favourite - Cheese and Bacon Chicken Kiev!

I mean, who wouldn't want these cook-tonight-as-they-are-near-their-best-before-date Chicken dinners? I would be lying if I said they flew off the shelves but I did manage to get atleast 5 or 6 of them in the carts. All in a good day's work 😇
