Ms. L and I were able to commiserate about how storm Ciaran had scuppered our plans for the week! The gale force winds may have blown Ms. L's hovercraft back early from her getaway on the Isle of Wight but thankfully all was still in tact with her garden including the new plants we had put in last week.

We had a lovely chat about the upcoming festive season and what traditions we both cherished most. We shared a few ideas for gifts for our family members, and it seems that both of us have some loved ones who love to cook so there was lots of discussion about gourmet goodies.

We weighed out the pros and cons of cooking a big feast at home (and doing the washing up) versus letting the pub make a lovely roast. Guess which option won in our opinion...?
