Nine weekend runners arrived at Hillside Gardens Park for a last minute mission to spread wood chip far and wide between the allotment beds.

Wheelbarrows and wheelie bins were filled and soon the paths were looking pretty wood. I mean, good.

While the rest of the gang cracked on, two of us went to a nearby church that's being used as the local foodbank to pick litter, clear sticks and give it a little bit of love. Bags were filled, piles were made and we even managed to do a bit of weeding.

With minutes until the end of the mission, we all joined together to finish wood chipping the path and, much to Tom from Hillside Garden's delight, we managed to get it done. High fives all round.
