Mission

Weeds-y like Sunday morning

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Sunday, 1st of July 2018

I was matching the colour of my GoodGym t-shirt (I swear Bristol hills get steeper when it is sunny) when Jennie met me this morning to help Mrs F with her garden.

Mrs F welcomed us into her home and garden and provided us with much appreciated bottles of cold water. She had previously done a lot of work on her garden until she was recently no longer able to, so she had a great pile of tools for us to get stuck in (including kneeling mats, much to my excitement!).

Jennie and I had a good natter while we worked on pulling out all of Mrs F's weeds, and soon the garden was looking spick and span again (just as well, as Mrs F was kindly ushering us away to get out of the sun before it got to its hottest!).

Mrs F gave us more water and hugs and we left her to enjoy her view onto her newly tidied garden. Sunday morning well spent!
