While many Bristolians had taken to the streets bravely battling the elements in the half marathon, myself and Jennie were in a garden in Easton at the direction of our lovely host and her cute dog. Our task was to tend to her garden by doing the jobs she is no longer physically able to tend to, including clearing weeds and chopping back overgrown plants and bushes, and therfore freeing many garden ornaments from their hidden spots to again see the light. There were more colourful characters in the garden than a Mr Men convention held during a colour run being lit by a myriad of prisms. Weeds were pulled, a very productive apple tree was lopped, and a lavender bush was tamed. All on all a very successful morning. Our host was very happy with the results, which will allow her to enjoy her beautiful garden and of course we had a great time chatting and making new friends. Everyone's a winner!
