Severe Cold Weather warning issued, Snow forecast, Social and Pub Quiz! Tuesday evening plans made, all the natural elements stacked against us, 13 of us braved the conditions ran/walk to Tunstall Nursery to finish the work we started last week.

Ellie and Erin left us in the reception to begin their walk as the rest of the group would be running to Tunstall.

Upon arriving at the nursery we were greeted by Jane, who seemed quite surprised at the number of us who had turned up, she was quick to notice that we had more people this week than last week. She led us to another side of the nursery where there was another sand pit which she mentioned was about 5ft deep and she wanted us to clear it! Clear it, as in remove all the sand was echoed around the group, Jane did not finish what she had to say, unlike the sand in the sandpit last week the sand in this pit was still good and did not need to be removed. She wanted us to clear it of the leaves and hidden treasure buried by the children who attended the nursery.

We had some people clearing the sand of leaves and toys while others were sweeping and bagging up the leaves around the outside of the sandpit. They tried their utmost best to ensure all toys buried had been found despite wanting to be leaf alone.

Task completed all talk turned to the upcoming social and pub quiz which just at the end of the street. Some of us ran back to Solutions while others headed straight to the pub.

We are one day away from the end of the January challenge, we have past the halfway mark with our deeds target about 25kms short of our distance target. Well done to everyone who participated in this years challenge and although we will not hit the deeds target we will hit our distance target. Overall our contribution to the January Challenge has put GoodGym on a whole closer to the overall target and we are all watching to see what the final results will be on 1st February.

Next week we have a new task sign up here, it will be an outdoor task within walking distance from our start location.

Weekend roundup South Norwood Parkrun - Quite a good turn out we were able to provide volunteers in all the various roles and made history by being the first set of pacers. Maverick 15K - Well done Paul on completing the race.
