Mission

Watts a lumen when it's at home?

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

This morning, Mel and Ady set out to Ms S' to try and answer how many PhD's it takes to change a light bulb. Ms S told us that bulb-shopping had got more difficult since manufacturers had taken to putting the wattage in tiny print, and putting everything else on the packaging instead, giving us the opposite of "light information".

We swapped over the two bulbs without the use of the ladder and got chatting with Ms S. She told us about her own charity work, her community-spirited neighborhood and mentioned that the council will come and retrieve your recycling from a place that suits you (now there's a bright idea).

After a lovely cup of tea and a chat, we headed off into the now equally bright outdoors and bid Ms S farewell.

That bulb packaging looks pretty intense; well done on making light work of this task!
