Tree-mendous effort by the hard-core GoodGymmers
5 GoodGymers made their way 10.1km to help their local community in Leicester.

5 Googymmers gathered at the fruit Orchard in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, where we were greeted by Heritage expert Mr J, who was very pleased to see us.
We had some pruning training and Orchard history, Mr J was a fantastic story teller, suprising us with facts like the land was bought for £1!
The Orchard provides for the community and an education for the local schools. Apple day in the summer is big family event with the kids making apple juice, there's also a pond for dipping which needs some care (future event).
We trimmed and snipped, a bit like giving the trees their hair cut, with the aim of them being shaped like a wine glass to give the best apples. No waste here, the branches were collected together for the library community group to do some weaving.
Weldone all, we were all cold and had a real soaking, 3 of us ran Braunstone parkrun in the rain and Sheila completed her 50th volunteer barcode scanning, you're a very good apple. Big shout out to our newest members Jimmyand Louiseboth came to support Leicester's launch and now helping to keep GoodGym Leicester going strong, hope to see you again, pleased you were with us today.
