Topiary-illy tidy

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Richard and Richard helped to tidy Mr W’s garden on his 81st birthday. After a strong tea and chat in his well tended garden, we set to work. Whilst Mr W was well on top of most of the plants in his garden, a few perennial GG favourites had overtaken part of the garden: Zebra/Canary Grass and our old friend bindweed. Tooled up the two Richards set to work barbering away to claim back Mr W’s paths. We then found a bit of time to sculpt an overgrown shrub, and take out some self-seeded ash trees before they established in his flower beds. All this as an audience of four cats bemusedly looked on.
