Tidy up in the Toon

Myself and Lucy made a small but great team tonight as we set off litter picking.
We started in Exhibition Park but there wasn't any litter at all anywhere (including the under pass and the skate park) which is brilliant
I then messaged the GG Newcastle taskforce for ideas, and both Louise and Anji instantly/simultaneously gave us the idea of Claremont Road Car park (thank you)
It turned out to be a lovely evening with blue sky and a great atmosphere in Newcastle for the match tonight.
We had a leisurely wander from the car park on Claremont Road and up until near the start of the Great North Run collecting litter along the way.
We collected 2 full bin bags between us, including lots of bottles, cans, and discarded cigarettes.
Definitely a great way to start the week!
