I didn't spot that Paulin who was leading the "Thursday Trees Not Trash" had cancelled the community mission event due to forecasted bad weather. I found myself near the meeting spot at 18:20...so, I texted Paulin to ask and double check the cancellation.... Yet, she came to my rescue and said we can go around the park and litter pick ourselves. I waited about 15 minutes for her arrival and then she wiped out her gloves and some bin bags and off we went.

We started concentrating on licking up everything, but then we realised we would be there (in one spot) for eternity. Therefore, we only looked out for big litter. We walked around the lake in Burgess Park and we managed to fill up two bin bags in an hour. I was impressed and pleased. I'm grateful that Paulin came out AND we might even have converted one or two onlookers to come and help out next time 😉👍🏼
