Stephens house and Gardens is a charity 'pocket' park with no support from the council. It relies on public support, grants and volunteers to look after the gardens and the house. goodgym have offered to help close the park on Wednesday. This is relatively quick and easy thing to do but has value to the charity and its staff. I simply rang a bell to advise people that the park was closing. It was a lovely walk at dusk with the sun setting with the silhouetted trees and buildings. It’s worth coming earlier to have a drink in the café and spend some time wandering round the grounds.
