Wednesdays should genuinely be renamed WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS. Why? Why else? we do WONDERFUL WONDERFUL things.

Last night was no different as 13 wonderful people headed to Covent Garden to see our dear friend Andrew from Rhythms of Life for Sorting through newly donated clothes, moving filing cabinets from a secret shelter on the ground floor to the first floor and relocating a large silver object from one side of the building to the other.

Sadly Rhythms of Life's location changes every few months so every few months we help them move and set up shop again. Its great for us as we always have something to do but not so great for the charity. Hopefully soon and someday they will find a permanent home in Westminster.

Anyhow, after a quick briefing and big welcome to all our newbies we headed off through the human traffic in the shopping heaven that is Oxford street and weaved our way THE LONG WAY to Covent Garden doing our utmost to avoid alllllllll known bottle neck hotspots.

A mile and half later we arrived safely with everyones heart racing, still smiling eagerly awaiting the task at hand.

A tour of the building for our newbies and we were off. Clothing sorted through, bagged up and relocated, 3 cabinets taken up a number of flights of stairs, one secret object wheeled through the building being careful not to scratch the walls and finally one giant lampshade placed securely in the corner. Or 35 minutes was up and we were off and out of there.

Standing outside with Andrew taking pictures i asked if people wanted the easy way back or the fun way back. All the regulars remained silent as they know what the word FUN actually means to me lol.

I asked if they were sure they wanted fun then enquired as to what plans they had the following day and whether or not they would need full use of their legs.

And so it began, a little warm up to get the blood pumping, some nasty little drills to get the calves burning, some nastier drills to get the quads going, some core, some arm drives and now that their bodies had been fully primed and activated we went to work. The task, simple, get home without hitting one red light, if you had that red light you have to run back the other way and keep doing so till you hit a green.

I have but a few words to describe what happened on route back OR should i say one question. HOW DO YOUR LEGS FEEL TODAY?

As always my friends thank you both for your time and energy, till next time.
