We had a last minute call to action last night, but that didn't stop five fabulous GoodGymers stepping into the breach, cancelling plans and getting their kit on to help out on a much-needed project.

The job was to move the contents of an impossibly crowded garden into a van for a disabled lady in Wandsworth, so we jumped straight into our favourite formation - human chain. Out from the garden emerged some weird and wonderful things, and before long we were making steady progress and getting a good upper body workout at the same time. The light was fading fast but, serenaded by Phil the Van Man, we ploughed on, and managed to make a serious dent in the increasingly empty garden. This was a tough but rewarding job, and it meant that the couple living here could begin to take control of their home and lives again after not being able to use rooms in their house for over ten years. Well done Team Wandsworth.
