The Pace Maker

Today our trainer Steven aka Hitch , volunteered at Blickling Parkrun, joining forces with Aylsham Runners as one of the pacers.
Having never paced before, the though of having to run at set speed was a tad daunting.
Although being a 27 minute pacer wasn't necessarily too challenging for the talented trainer, trying to keep to that speed was!
The slight competitive element had to stay in, especially when some faster runners are coming past you and you have to remember "I'm not allowed to speed up to catch them" actually made it one of the hardest Parkruns to do.
The big question you're asking is how close he came to completing in exactly 27 minutes... well the answer is 26.53 but the watch measured 4.99km so couldn't have been too much closer!
