Mrs N and her husband had asked for help to tidy their back garden, as they are both unable to keep up with it now due to ill health. They had had someone round to trim the shrubs and trees but instead of a trim the gardener had cut everything right back, leaving only one bush with flowers. Having grown all of the trees and plants over the 47 years they’ve lived in the properly they were feeling quite low. Hopefully all will grow back next year and they’ll be able to enjoy it then.

So today’s ask was relatively simple, help by clearing away leaves and dead heading and removing the moss / leaves from the pond.

When they were in better health the couple kept 10 chickens. Now they have just one left who followed me around the garden while I tidied. Hopefully he approved of the work this time.
