The Cauliflower Challenge

Do you think that a third iteration of the same mission is already a routine? Think again! When I saw the cauliflower & broccoli veggie mix on Ms N's shopping list, I was not surprised. I already had a vision: I am going to the same shop again, where this product is supposed to be, but I am coming back with the cauliflower, broccoli & carrot mix replacement. Today I challenged destiny. Ms N is going to get her favourite mix, I said to myself. I decided to go to a different shop further down the road. Heck, I went to three different high streets - and still came back with the cauliflower, broccoli & carrot! Destiny vs Red Shirt - 3 : 0. Not only I have failed to find the tricky veggie mix (which I always see in my local store). In all the shops I visited I also found empty shelves where the 2-pint bottles of fresh whole milk used to sit. Out of stock went corn oil, country vegetable mix and savoury crackers of a specific brand. Thankfully Ms N was available to advise me on the replacements, so the mission finished with a happy end.
