Can you believe it - that was my tenth GG delivery service. The funny thing is that these missions are not really getting easier. Once you get familiar and comfortable with a particular store or a person, you may find yourself surrounded by empty shelves or getting a special request including going to a new shop. Today's list from Mrs U didn't have anything unusual but the marble cake she fancied was nowhere to be found in Lidl I visited. Apparently, the bigger Lidl has more chances to have it but I wouldn't manage to get there today in a reasonable time. I tried Sainsbury's instead where another day I found a coffee cake that Mrs U fell in love with (at least in the absence of the marble cake!). Sadly, today among all the cakes on the shelf, the coffee cake was the only one sold out. Bad luck! Mrs U was a little bit disappointed by this turn of events when I called her. She would have to curb her sweet tooth this week. Speaking about teeth, Mrs U asked me to get a second tube of toothpaste instead. Maybe that was not the most satisfactory option for her mood but it was for her teeth at least. Apart from the cake and Brazil nuts from Lidl, the order was fulfilled without problems.
