FIVE GG Yorkies returned to Fulford Social Hall to finish clearing the courtyard!

We were met by councillor Andrew and his pannier of tools. Nothing much had changed since we left the courtyard on our previous visit - we just had to hack back and remove all the greenery... and not cut any pipes in half like we might have done in the dark last time...

The courtyard looked ENORMOUS compared with when we first saw it. Previously we opened the door to be met only with trees and brambles!

In 40 minutes we had almost cleared it, there was just the challenge of stuffing as much as possible into the huge blue bag. I attempted to push it all in by jumping on it but this was not entirely successful, so we had to go manual and just shove it all in by hand.

The boys attempted to move the very full bag through the social hall, it was like a comedy act trying to get it through the door. Whilst they were occupied with that, Lucy was doing a quite excellent job of tidying all the weeds and edges, and I was sweeping up.

The bag removal was not entirely successful either so Andrew got us to push everything into a corner to make it look as tidy as possible. We then finished off chopping back the overhanging bush and removing the ivy from the wall.

We were all ready to leave apart from Lucy who was addicted to pulling up every tiny weed in every tiny crack - superb attention to detail!

We left with a wonderfully clear and tidy courtyard ready for the next project at the Hall. Mission Complete.
