That's That Job Licked!!!!

Another lovely light spring evening to enjoy a run and a fab task with lovely friends.

Emily, Maurice, Karen, Nigel & I were back at the Wishing Well this week to finish off what we started last week.

We met outside for our usual pre-task warm up and run. Tonight’s warm up took on somewhat of a ballet theme with Nigel commenting that we were stood at the bar like ballerinas and I have to confess, squats done while clinging onto the railings did rather resemble a plie!! (if that’s how you spell it….).

We set off on our run – taking in King Maurice Way as we did. We did one lap of the George’s (aka KMW) followed by a lovely lap of the park. It was actually so lovely to be able to run around the park together on a lovely spring evening. We are lucky to have such a beautiful park on our doorsteps.

Back at the Wishing Well, we donned our gloves and rollers, turned our t-shirts inside out and got stuck back into the painting task that we’d started last week. Karen & Nigel took on the men’s loos, while Emily, Maurice & Nicola took on the ladies. Emily spent most of the evening in her usual spot – in the actual loo (every picture we have of Emily at the Wishing Well, seems to be in the toilet, lol!). We had some musical accompaniment this evening in the form of AC/DC. Maurice said it was only marginally better than Queen, haha!!!

By the time we were ready to go, we’d got both rooms and as well as the disabled loo, licked! It was looking much fresher (even though we weren’t, lol!)

There was only one job that remained – and that was to eat the belated Cream Eggs that I’d been meaning to take along for the past two weeks!!! How do you eat yours? Yum....

It was another lovely evening spent at the Georges and were hosted by the lovely Jan & Mitch who always give us such a lovely warm welcome.
